Many companies have their
offices or factories spread over several different sites. These
are generally networked using a data network. Using the VoIP technology
from Ascotel IntelliGate this company-wide network can now also
be used for voice communications. The individual telephones are
connected to the central system platform so that the costly installation
of a telephone system at every site is no longer necessary. If Ascotel
or Ascotel IntelliGate systems are already in operation at one site,
these can easily be linked together using the IP technology.

Using an AIP 6350 gateway, IP terminals can already today be integrated
in the intranet and operated via the Ascotel IntelliGate. This opens
up both new and cost-efficient alternatives for the company's internal

to connection via IP - without forgoing the functionality of the
telecommunications system.
When the optional AIP 6400 gateway is used, the Ascotel Intelligate
offers further opportunities to reduce operating costs. For example,
for networked company branch offices that operate their own system,
the monthly costs for the otherwise required additional leased telephone
lines are no longer incurred.
Just like being under a single roof
Thanks to the system networking of the Ascotel IntelliGate, employees
at various company sites are able to use the valuable convenience
features such as enquiry call, call switching or call back, even
when they ae not in the same building. In addition, the option is
available to connect the telephone terminal directly to the Ascotel
IntelliGate via the existing IP-based intranet so that even small
sites can profit from the cost-efficient functions.
Connection of single telephones via IP
It is not necessary to install an Ascotel IntelliGate system at
every company site: now individual telephone terminals can be connected
to the PBX regardless of where they are situated. Problem-free telephony
can be achieved over the existing data network simply by using an
existing voice-enabled IP connection. Hence on the one hand you
can guarantee that you can fully cover the communicatons requirements
at your branch office or at your home office, and on the other,
through the optimal use of the existing resources, the investment
volume can be significantly reduced.
The Office 35IP telephone
The Office 35IP from Ascotel IntelliGate possesses the same powerful
performance profile as the classic Ascotel Office terminals and
naturally operation is also identical. All IP connections can be
managed from the central Ascotel Management System (AIMS), hence
the simple setting up and operation of the IP telephones is guaranteed.
The users and the administrators all profit equally from theis without
having to accept a reduction in the quality of speech transmission.
